About Us

Neath Port Talbot Group Help opened on April 1st 2005 and, after merging with Afan Savers Group Help in 2008, our growth has been spectacular – with now more than 10,000 members and over 20 branches and collection points for our customers to use.

How does it work?

When you join a Group Help, you agree to make regular savings every week, fortnight or month. This can be as little or as much as the member can afford. In return, they may receive affordable credit, financial advice and a healthy return on their money. Members save in a common fund This fund provides low interest loans to members The interest generated from loans covers administration costs Any surplus returned to members as a dividend

What is Group Help

We rebranded in 2017 to Group Help to reflect our ambition to serve customers across South Wales. Group Help has worked hard to build up a successful and an experienced organisation backed by a well organised administration framework.

A Group Help is a community-based co-operative that provides straightforward, affordable financial services to its members. Group Help are not for profit, so any income generated from loans helps meet operating costs, build up financial reserves and pay savers an attractive annual dividend.
